With recent advancements in technology handheld XRF analyzers can now be used to measure the thickness of coatings. Our Olympus Vanta XRF rental instruments with coating mode can measure the thickness of coatings on any substrate in seconds. Up to three layers of coatings can be analyzed simultaneously. These new analyzers open up many possibilities for the non destructive testing of metallic coating thickness. 24 different coating metals are available, including common corrosion inhibitors like Zinc, Nickel, and Chromium. XRF Coating Thickness Analyzer
With the new Vanta XRF analyzers metallic coating thickness can be analyzed in the field, non destructively, in seconds. These new analyzers are easy to use and can analyze coating thickness on any substrate including concrete, glass, metals, wood, or even plastic. The technology is capable of measuring three different layers of materials in a single analysis provided elements from each layer are not present in each other or the substrate. 24 different coating materials are currently available. Vanta XRF analyzers require minimal instructions for use and no user certifications while still providing documented compliance. All of our Vanta XRF rentals include 2 batteries for continuous usage over long periods, free training, and unlimited customer support.
