Casella CEL’s CEL-350 dBadge series of personal sound exposure meters are used to measure sound levels in the work place to protect workers and comply with workplace regulations. The CEL-350 dBadge series consists of the CEL-350L dBadge Lite, the CEL-350, and the CEL-352 dBadge Plus. Unlike traditional sound level meters the CEL-350 dBadge is small, requires no cables or external equipment to operate, and weights only 71 g. It can be worn comfortably on the shoulder or another area of clothing and is operated through two keys on the side of the instrument.

The CEL-350L ‘Lite’ simultaneously measures and stores workplace noise parameters. The CEL-350 offers the additional ability to measure noise time history and the ability to graph this data through PC software. Building on the capabilities of the CEL-350 sound exposure meters, the CEL-352 ‘Plus’ simultaneously measures ‘A’ and ‘C’ weighted Leq measurements, suitable to calculate the effectiveness of by either the SNR or HML methods. All models require no setup and are easy to operate.

Powered by an integral NiMH battery the CEL-350 dBadge achieves approximately 28 hours of operational use and can be fully recharged in 90 minutes. The CEL-350 series features a durable rubber overmoulded design, an integrated display, easy auto-calibration, a visual exposure alarm which may be switched on or off, and sufficient non-volatile memory to retain measurements for many consecutive shifts (up to 180 hours of data). The CEL-350 dBadge supports a linear operating range of 65–140.3 dB and a peak measurement range of 95–143.3 dB. Intrinsically safe CEL-350 models are available for use in hazardous environments.
