Compressed Air Test Kit
The Nextteq Airtec system is a portable, simple, and convenient testing solution for breathing air tanks or compressor systems. They can be used anywhere with minimal training, require no batteries or electricity, do not need calibration, and are intrinsically safe. Through the use of Airtec detector tubes, the Airtec system measures 5 common contaminants in compressed or supplied breathing air. Detection tubes for oil mist, water vapor, Nitrogen Dioxide, Carbon Dioxide, and Carbon Monoxide are included with the deluxe kit or available individually in various ranges for use with the standard kits or as replacements.
The Airtec system consists of a regulator with attached flow meter and various single use detector tubes to measure contaminants. The regulator is a two stage breathing air regulator with a CGA 346 fitting and a preset safety device to prevent overloading. It is precision machined from solid brass with a dual filter system to protect internal parts. The flow meter is of the ball and tube type with a metering valve and compensated to maintain constant flow. A tube holder attached to the metering valve provides the attachment point for the Airtec tubes.
Nextteq’s Airtec system is simple to use. The breathing air cylinder or supply line is connected to the Airtec system and an Airtec tube with freshly broken ends is attached to the tube holder. The air cylinder’s valve or compressor is then turned on and the flow rate is confirmed for the specific Airtec tube that is to be used. After the specified samping time has elapsed, the breathing air is turned off and the measurement immediately read from the tube.
What to Order
Airtec systems come in both standard and deluxe kits. The deluxe kit includes 5 boxes of various Airtec tubes and a hard carrying case in addition to the Airtec system. The standard kit requires the additional purchase of the Airtec tubes required for the application. Both the Airtec kits and detector tubes are available below.
