Gastec Dositubes

Gastec Dositubes are used for TWA measuring of gases in area and personnel monitoring applications. Dositubes do not require the use of any sampling pumps and can be used over various different sampling times. Dositubes provide an economical means to take TWA, STEL, or long term sampling up to 2 days. Personnel exposure can be monitored for as little as 30 minutes up to a full work day.

Gastec Dositubes are designed with a carefully chosen inner diameter and filled with both a reaction agent and a diffuser. This causes the gas within the Dositubes to diffuse at a constant rate resulting in a clear ppm/hour readings without the need for charts, color scales, or anything but a direct interpretation of the direct reading from the tube.

Gastec Dositubes operate based on the passive diffusion of gas. All Dositubes include stickers for affixing to the tube and recording the start time of the sampling. For area monitoring the tube can simply be set down and retrieved at the end of the sampling period to record the readings. For personnel monitoring, a tube holder with a coller clip can be used to keep the tube in the wearer’s breathing area. The reuseable tube holder, p/n 710, also includes a built in tip breaker that is strongly recommended for use even if the tube will be used for area monitoring.

Gastec Dositubes are listed below alphabetically by the gas in which they can be used to measure. All Dositubes come in a box with 10 tubes for 10 measurements and instructions. Gases that must be measured for using a correction factor are indicated. Dositubes come ready to use and do not require a sampling pump.

The holder/tip breaker for Dositubes is not included with the tubes. They are reuseable, come in packs of 1, 3, or 10, and are available below under accessories.
