Gastec Gas Detector Tubes

Nextteq is the U.S. master wholesale distributor of the Gastec pump and tube gas detector system.

Gastec gas detector tubes provide quick, accurate, and cost effective measurements of gases and vapors for over 600 different applications. On site measurements can be taken almost anywhere by anyone at a low cost. Extensive ranges can be achieved by utilizing different sample volumes, and through the use of correction factors tubes can be used accurately for other gases besides those read directly off the tube.

Gastec gas detector tubes require a Gastec sampling pump for use. EQUIPCO offers an economical solution to peridodic on the spot sampling with Gastec sampling pump rentals, significantly reducing costs for short term sampling. Gastec sampling pumps are also used with Polytec multiple gas detection tubes, and field soil detection tubes.

Most Gastec gas detector tubes are designed for ease of use and operate with either a 50 or 100 ml stroke volume (half and full stroke on Gastec sampling pumps) and require no temperature or humidity compensation. Gastec tubes lower the chances of errors by requiring no color charts, dual scales, or interpretation of the direct reading of the tube. For tubes that do require temperature compenstation, Gastec sampling pumps all include ambient temperature indicators. In the case that humidity compenstation is required, Gastec water vapor tubes can be used.

Gastec also offers Pyrotec tubes which allow for the measurement of certain gases that are not normally able to be detected by standard gas tubes. These measurements are acheived with the use of the Pyrolyzer attachment for Gastec sampling pumps and special Pyrotec tubes (p/n 51, 51H, 51L, 52, and 53).

All tubes offer highly visible markings and are available in many ranges. Every box of Gastec tubes includes a datasheet and instructions with correction factors for different compounds, interferances, and temperature/humidity adjustment factors. Gastec tubes can operate within a wide range of environmental conditions, have many SEI certifications, and are manufactured under ISO-9001 standards.

Gastec gas detector tubes are listed below alphabetically by the gas or vapor and range they could be used to detect. If you do not see the compound or range your application requires, try looking under a different name for the compound or call for assistance.

Each gas and range indicated below has notes to indicate whether the value is read directly off that tube or if a correction factor is required, how many measurements are possible per box, if any additional accessories like a Pyrolyzer are required, and if the tube is SEI certified.

Gastec detector tubes come in a box with 10 tubes for taking either 10, 9, or 5 measurements. The number of measurements depends on if pre-tubes are required and how many uses they have.

Gastec gas detector tubes require a Gastec sampling pump which can be purchased or rented.
