Confined Space Entry Monitor (4 Gas Plus PID)
The EntryRAE from RAE Systems is designed to be economical while providing complete protection for confined space entry, beyond that of typical 4 gas monitors. This has been accomplished by combining RAE Systems’ patented modular PID, the standard 4 gas sensors (LEL,O2,CO,H2S), and an internal pump in a durable, compact, and lightweight enclosure.
Alarms are indicated by a loud 95 dB buzzer, vibration, and a flashing LED. A large backlit LCD screen shows measurements from all five sensors simulatneously. Every EntryRAE comes standard with a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack that provides 16 hours of runtime, and an alkaline battery adapter that can provide an additional 12 hours of runtime. Datalogging is standard with every instrument and takes place automatically, storing the last five days worth of data at 1 minute intervals. The included charging cradle can also be used independently to charge a spare battery pack. Field calibration is easily performed, and the EntryRAE is compatible with the AutoRAE automatic calibration station.
The added protection of a PID allows you to detect VOC’s that are often toxic at levels well below 10% LEL and commonly found in confined spaces. The PID also serves as a backup to the LEL sensor, which can be degraded by some common chemicals.
The EntryRAE is housed in a rugged IP55 rated enclosure that is EMI and dust resitant. Non consumable components are backed by a lifetime warranty, 2 years for the sensors, and 1 year for the PID, pump, and battery.
