Confined Space Entry Monitor (4 Gas)
RAE Systems’ QRAE II is an economical standard 4 gas confined space monitor with advanced features for its class. Standard LEL, O2, CO, and H2S sensors are available, and the QRAE II comes in either pumped or diffusion versions. It’s patented O2 sensor is lead free, leak free, and has a longer lifetime then previous sensor designs.
The QRAE II is the recommended replacement for the QRAE confined space monitor.
The QRAE II features a large, backlit, graphical LCD display that can simultaneously display measurements from all four sensors. The display can also be rotated 180 degrees for easy viewing from either the hand or with the included belt clip. Datalogging is standard on every instrument with enough memory for 12 days at 1 minute intervals. Alarm conditions are indicated by a 95 dB buzzer, LED’s, and vibration. Alarm settings are available for high, low, TWA, and STEL. Alarms can also be latched or manually overidden, and built in diagnostics inform the user of any problems. Field calibration is easily accomplished, and the QRAE II is compatible with the AutoRAE automaic calibration station. QRAE II’s can come with an optional, rechargeable, lithium ion battery that provides 14 hours of operation with diffusion models and 10 hours of operation with pumped models. An included alkaline battery adapter can be used to provide additional runtime.
Designed to withstand field use, the QRAE II is housed in an IP65 rated enclosure that is resistant to water, dust, and EMI. The enclosure is also compartmentalized for easy field replacement of the sensors, battery, pump and filters without the need to expose the internal electronics of the instrument.
