Area Dust Monitor
Thermo’s DataRAM 4 ambient dust monitor provides highly accurate unattended monitoring of the airborne concentration and average particle size of smoke, dust, mist, and fumes. Using Thermo’s patented technology, the DataRAM 4 has a range of 0.0001 to 400 mg/m³ and is accurate to within 2% of the reading. It is unaffected by particle coincidence errors, and automatically compensates for humidity. With optional in line impactor heads, the DataRAM 4 can provide measurement of the specific particulate fractions PM10, PM2.5, and PM1.
The DataRAM 4 can be used as a portable dust monitor, but it is also designed for unattended monitoring. Long run times are achieved via a built in rechargeable lead acid battery that can run for up to 20 hours, 120 VAC power supply, or an optional solar panel kit. A self calibration and automatic zeroing feature helps to extend long unattended field operations. The DataRAM 4 features built in datalogging for up to 50,000 data points and logging intervals ranging from 1 to 60 seconds averaged over periods ranging from 1 sec to 24 hours. Integration capabilities are provided by a digital RS232 output, an analog measurement signal output, and various alarm outputs.
