YSI Model 63

Handheld pH and Conductivity Meter

The YSI 63 handheld pH and conductivity meter simultaneously measures pH, conductivity or salinity, and temperature. Like the rest of YSI’s classic handheld instruments the model 63 features a built in probe storage compartment, easy calibration, and a IP65 rated water resistant enclosure. Both pH and temperature compensated conductivty readings are autoranging and displayed on a large, backlit, LCD screen. The pH electrode is low maintenance and field replaceable.

YSI’s Professional Plus multiparameter instrument can be set up to measure the same parameters as the YSI 63 and has the capability to measure many other parameters (up to 4 plus temperature simultaneously) using user replaceable cables that can be swapped in the field.

The YSI 63 has a pH range of 0 to 14 and can achieve a resoultion of 0.01 pH. Conductivity ranges from 0 to 200 mS/cm with resolutions as small as 0.1 µS/cm. Conductivity measurements can be allowed to autorange or the user can manually select ranges, and readings are automatically compensated for temperature. Salinity can be measured over a range of 0 to 80 ppt at a resolution of 0.1 ppt. Advanced users can manually select the conductivity reference temperature and compensation factor. The YSI 63 is powered from 6 AA alkaline batteries which can operate the unit for up to 100 hours. Cables are built into the instrument itself and models are available in cable lengths ranging from 10 to 100 feet.
