YSI Model 3100 and 3200
Laboratory Conductivity Meter
YSI’s 3100 and 3200 laboratory conductivity meters both use the 3200 series NIST traceable conductivity cells with built in temperature sensors for automatic temperature compensation, assuring the most accurate measurements. The 3100 is for basic, high accuracy, laboratory conductivity, salinity, and temperature measurements. The 3200 uses resistance ratio technology that provides unmatched accuracy for ultrapure water. It also includes datalogging, multipoint calibration, linear and non linear temperature compensation, and can measure conductivity, conductance, temperature, resistance, resistivity, salinity, and total dissolved solids. Both instruments come in either 115 or 230 VAC versions, and are capable of replatinizing conductivity cells allowing them to provide many years of service. YSI’s resistor set, p/n 069657, can be used with either instrument to verify meter performance.
YSI 3100 Laboratory Conductivity Meter
The 3100 laboratory conductivity meter uses forced current technology to achieve a high accuracy of 0.5 %FS over it’s entire range of 0 to 499.9 mS/cm. At a range of 0 to 49.99 µS/cm, the 3100 has a resolution of 0.01 µS/cm.

YSI Laboratory 3200 Conductivity Meter
YSI’s 3200 laboratory conductivity meter uses resistance ratio technology which provides unmatched accuracy and is excellent for ultrapure water measurement. Depending upon the range, a maximum accuracy of 0.1 %FS and resolutions as small as 0.0001 µS/cm are attainable. In addition to the increased accuracy the 3200 also adds storage for 6 different cell configurations, 100 point datalogging, 5 point calibration, and nonlinear temperature compensation.

What to Order
Both the 3100 and 3200 are available below as either 115 or 230 VAC versions. Use of these instruments requires the seperate purchase of a conductivity cell.
All of the conductivity cells listed feature a 4′ cable and built in temperature sensors. There are three types of cells available: dip, fill, and flow. Dip cells are used for routine conductivity measurements and are simply dipped in the sample. Fill cells are filled with the sample and are useful when only small quanitities of sample are available or quickly moving from one sample to the next. Flow cells are used for inline measurements such as those used in ultrapure water systems. When choosing the K value you would generally select the 0.1/cm for very low measurements and the 1.0/cm for general measurements.
