Portable Benchtop DO Meter

YSI’s 58 portable benchtop DO meters are well known for their accuracy, ease of use, and reliability. They feature automatic temperature compensation, manual salinity compensation, and can use a variety of probes. Switching from field work to lab work is as simple as changing a cable. Field cables in lengths of up to 200′, both stirring and non stirring BOD probes, and even a submersible field stirrrer are available.

YSI manufacturers many other DO meters that are suitable for both lab and field work, including the Pro20 handheld DO meter, ProODO handheld optical DO meter, and the EcoSense DO200 economical handheld DO meter.

The YSI 58 can operate a stirrer in the field when paired with the, p/n 098382, 50′ submersible stirrer cable. Power for the instrument is provided by 4 D alkaline batteries that typically give a runtime of approximately 1000 hours. When used with the field submersible stirrer, power is provided by an additional 4 D alkaline batteries that are also housed in the instrument. Instead of memory or an RS232 connection, the 58 has an analog voltage output for integration with recording devices. An 115 VAC power adapter is included with the 58.
