TSI SidePak AM520

The TSI SidePak AM520 is a belt-mounted, battery-powered laser photometer that gives real-time concentration readings for dust, fume, mist, smoke, and other aerosols in a worker’s breathing zone. Size-selectable inlets measure PM10, PM4 (respirable), PM2.5, PM1, PM5 (China), or 0.8 µm diesel particulate, while a dual display simultaneously shows mass concentration and a customizable response concentration. A 20-hour battery, rugged housing, and audible/visual alarms support full-shift use, with data logged internally for later download using TSI’s TrakPro v5 software.

The SidePak AM520 stores up to ten custom calibration factors, includes high-concentration impactors for dusty conditions, and allows setting separate alarms for mass and response values—useful for monitoring silica, welding fumes, or diesel particulate exposure. TrakPro software helps simplify calibration-factor management, data analysis, and compliance documentation. The AM520 offers a portable, configurable solution suitable for both quick checks and full-shift aerosol exposure assessment.
