We carry a wide assortment of bailers for various applications that can be purchased both individually or by the case. Disposable bailers are an excellent and economical means to obtain groundwater samples from monitoring wells while insuring sample integrity. We offer bailers made from Polyethylene, Teflon, or PVC in diameters ranging from 0.5" to 3.5" with various lengths ranging from 12" to 48". For special applications, double check valves (point source sampler) versions are available allowing the user to take samples from a specific depth without contaminating the sample on the way back to the surface. For measuring VOC's, VOC tips (slow emptying devices) are available to reduce flow and agitation allowing a more accurate VOC sample.

Bailers are used by simply lowering the device into the water column. When pulled back to the surface a check ball seals the bottom of the bailer allowing the sample to be brought to the surface.

We highly recommend weighted SinkFast bailers. Made from high density PVC, the weighted design is stronger and sinks faster then any other bailer, guarenteed to save you time in the field. Standard Polyethylene bailers are manufactured with thick walls using virgin Polyetheylene to protect against collapsing. Teflon bailers are also available and used to ensure accurate samples with organics.
