Gastec water analysis kits are used to measure the levels of Chlorinated Hydrocarbons in wastewater using headspace analysis with a Gastec detector tube system. Water analysis kits come with or without a Gastec sampling pump and include all the required accessories and detector tubes to perform the analysis. Detector tubes are available for 1,1,1-Trichloroethane, Tetrachloroethylene (2 ranges), and Trichloroethylene (2 ranges). the kits use standard Gastec detector tubes and come with enough for either 10 or 20 measurements. Gastec’s water analysis kits are portable, provide on the spot analysis, include a carrying case, and come with all the benefits of using Gastec’s detector tube system.

Gastec water analysis kits require a standard Gastec sampling pump for use and can be ordered with or without the pump included. Standard gas detection tubes are used to measure the gases in the headspace.

Headspace analysis is performed by filling the sampling bottle with 200 ml of wasterwater, sealing the bottle, and shaking for one minute. The gas sample is then taken from the bottle just above the surface of the liquid and the measurement from the detector tube recorded. An included thermometer is used to measure the temperature of the wastewater for temperature compensation of the measured value.

Gastec water analysis kits are available below for three different organic chlorinated solvents with or without the required sampling pump. All kits include 2 boxes of tubes. Trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene include 2 different ranges. Every kit includes all required accessories (with the exception of the samping pumps in kits that do not include it), instructions, and a carrying case.
