Handheld CO2/CH4/LEL/O2/Pressure Monitor

The GEM2000 is designed for analyzing landfill gas composition and calculating flow. It can monitor gas migration probes and gas extraction systems. Also measures Btu, relative and atmospheric temperature (with accessory), and CH4 LEL.

The GEM2000 portable landfill gas monitor is designed to analyze landfill gas (LFG) composition and calculating flow. The GEM2000 combines capabilities of the GEM-500 to monitor gas extraction systems and the GA-90 to monitor gas migration probes in an enhanced device with greater accuracy, speed, and new features. The GEM2000 ensures consistent data collection for more reliable analysis and also measures and displays Btu content, atmospheric pressures, temperature (using an optional Temperature Probe) relative, and CH4 LEL. The GEM2000 Plus adds CO and H2S measurements for situations when those capabilities may be necessary. The GEM2000 remains operational for 10–14 hours on a single charge. Certified Intrinsically Safe for use in the landfill.

The GEM2000 is no longer available. A newer version, the GEM5000, is available.

Designed specifically for use on landfills to monitor landfill gas (LFG), extraction systems, flares, and migration control systems, there is no need to take more than one instrument to the site. The GEM2000 measures gas composition, flow, and pressure in gas extraction systems and is a great tool for routine sub-surface migration monitoring of site perimeter landfill probes. The operator can record questions and comments regarding sites and sample point for later display and analysis. The GEM200 ensures consistent collection of data for better analysis and allows balancing of gas extraction systems.
