The GEM2000 portable landfill gas monitor is designed to analyze landfill gas (LFG) composition and calculating flow. The GEM2000 combines capabilities of the GEM-500 to monitor gas extraction systems and the GA-90 to monitor gas migration probes in an enhanced device with greater accuracy, speed, and new features. The GEM2000 ensures consistent data collection for more reliable analysis and also measures and displays Btu content, atmospheric pressures, temperature (using an optional Temperature Probe) relative, and CH4 LEL. The GEM2000 Plus adds CO and H2S measurements for situations when those capabilities may be necessary. The GEM2000 remains operational for 10–14 hours on a single charge.
