Photovac’s new DataFID series of advanced handheld FIDs includes the DataFID LD, for LDAR professionals, and the DataFID EV/HC, for environmental monitoring. Features include a 70 hour low-pressure hydrogen fuel cylinder, a measurement range of 0.1–50,000 ppm, and 15 hours of battery life.
Photovac’s new DataFID series of advanced portable flame ionization detectors (FID) includes the DataFID EV and DataFID HC for environmental monitoring and the DataFID LD for leak detection and repair (LDAR). The DataFID series FIDs feature a wide operating concentration range of 0.1–50,000 ppm with <3 second response times and includes integrated Bluetooth for wireless data transmission with a datalogging PDA. Flame restarts can be initiated through PDA and software systems. The DataFID is certified Intrinsically Safe.
Up to 70 hours of continuous operation at low pressure (80 psi) can be achieved through the DataFID’s metal hydride hydrogen fuel cylinder and a UN3468 identification number allows shipment of the cylinder by air cargo overnight when full of hydrogen. Ready for use in the field, the DataFID features a rugged, waterproof design, weighs only 11 (LD) or 12.4 (EV/HC) pounds, and achieves up to 15 hours of uptime through its rechargeable battery. Audible alarms with visuals indicate statuses such as low battery or hydrogen. The DataFID’s large LCD with manually activated backlight shares a range of information including real-time concentration levels, alarm levels, peak-hold, flame status, and battery condition. A user friendly menu structure guides the user through operation and quick and easy calibration.

DataFID EV and DataFID HC
The DataFID EV and HC are portable flame ionization detectors (FID) designed for environmental field monitoring. Control the DataFID through its probe handle, including initiation of flame restarts. This FID is ideal for a range of applications including LDAR, landfill gas monitoring, high concentration or altitude measurements, HazMat characterization, and emergency response. The DataFID includes a multi-function backpack, AC charger with universal plug, 10 inlet filters, supplemental air (DataFID HC), and manual. The optional SmartProbe accessory allows flame restart and full instrument control right at the probe handle.
Designed for LDAR professionals, the DataFID LD is a handheld portable flame ionization detector (FID) designed for leak detection and repair and is compatible with enterprise LDAR software applications like LeakDAS®. The DataFID LD meets and exceeds all USEPA Method 21 (LDAR) requirements. Up to five leak definitions can be entered and stored. The DataFID LD includes a metal hydride hydrogen cylinder, AC charger with universal plug, 10 inlet filters, multi-tool, and user manual.
