RAE Systems’ latest PID for measuring VOC’s at the ppb level, the ppbRAE 3000, now features an extended range of 1 ppb to 10,000 ppm with response times under 3 seconds. The sensor features both temperature and humidity compensation for increased accuracy and linearity. It comes standard with a 10.6 eV lamp, but now both 9.8 and 11.7 eV lamps are also available. With the combination of multiple lamp options, extended range, increased accuracy, and a built in list of over 200 correction factors, the ppbRAE 3000 is the most powerful and versatile ppb PID RAE systems has ever manufactured. Which makes it ideal for an increased range of applications including homeland security, HazMat, indoor air quality, industrial hygine, environmental, and many military applications.

The ppbRAE 3000 ppb PID is the suggested replacement for the ppbRAE Plus.

The ppbRAE 3000 features a large, LED backlit, graphical display that allows easy viewing of the current readings and operation of the instrument. The large buttons are operable while wearing gloves, and the navigation screens can be configured for 12 different languages. Both the lamp and sensor are easily accessed without tools for service and cleaning. A 16 hour runtime is provided by a rechargeable, field replaceable, lithium ion battery. An additional 12 hours of use can be achieved by using the included alkaline battery pack adapter. The strong built in pump can sample through up to 100′ of tubing, and features low flow alarms and shutoff. Datalogging with enough memory for 6 months of data at 1 minute intervals is included with every ppbRAE 3000 PID. A built in LED flashlight is also included for assistance in low light environments.

RAE Systems’ current line of handheld PID’s also includes the MiniRAE 3000, MiniRAE Lite, and the UltraRAE 3000.

Alarm notifications are provided by a 95 dB audible buzzer, flashing red LEDs, and on screen notifications. Alarms are available for high, low, TWA, and STEL limits. All alarms are user configurable and feature latching, automatic reset, and manual overide.

Calibration is easily performed with a zero point and 1 or 2 span points. The ppbRAE 3000 can store calibration information for up to 8 different gases simultaneously along with seperate alarm limits, and calibration dates for each of those gases. It is also compatible with the AutoRAE automatic calibration station.

Designed for use in the harshest environments, the ppbRAE 3000 is enclosed in an IP65 rated case (IP67 when off) that is waterproof and highly resistant to dust and EMI/RMI. The protective rubber boot is both strong and removable.
