Solinst Standpipe Piezometer
Standpipe Piezometers
The Solinst Model 601 Standpipe Piezometer is designed to be placed in a drilled hole to provide a filtered inlet point. Suitable for water level monitoring, metals sampling, construction control, permeability measurements, and more.
Solinst’s Model 601 Standpipe Piezometer is designed for placement within a drilled hole to provide a filtered inlet point. Because it is composed of a preformed Vyon tube set inside a perforated PVC piezometer tip, the 601 Standpipe Piezometer is well suited for metals sampling. It is also suitable for placement in loose sands at the base of a stream, borehole, or into loose tailing pond sediments due to its pointed PVC tip. Other great applications for the 601 Standpipe Piezometer include water level monitoring, de-watering drainage operations, construction control, permeability measurement, and slope stability investigations.
The 601 Standpipe Piezometer’s tip connects to the surface using slip-fit couplings and 3/4″ ID PVC riser pipe. It is possible to connect other sizes of casing or riser pipe by using reducer couplings. 601 Piezometer tips are available in 6 inch, 1 foot, 2 foot, and 3 foot lengths (15 cm, 30 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm). The 601’s piezometer’s filter is composed of porous HDPE (Vyon) with an average pore size of 60 microns, heat welded seams, and keeps out fine sands and silts.
