XRF Precious Metals Analyzer
The XL5 Plus with precious metals mode has many of the same capabilities as general metals mode with a special emphasis on gold, karat analysis, detecting plating, and identification of the elemental content of other precious metals in jewelry, bars, and scrap. This mode has been developed to quickly sort and identify karat with alerts for plating, non standard karat, low karat, and high nickel content. The XL5 Plus is Thermo Niton’s flag ship portable analyzer. It comes standard with many features that are optional on other instruments, including both Macro and Micro cameras for documentation.
