Airflow Smoke Tubes
Gastec airflow test kits provide an easy method to generate non-corrosive smoke for testing air currents in many applications. The kits include 6 tubes in addition to all required accessories and equipment.
Gastec airflow test kits are an easy way to analyze air currents using non-corrosive smoke. Gastec airflow smoke tubes are safe for use in many applications including ventilation ducts and isolation room testing. Every kit includes everything needed to produce smoke and does not require any mixing or additional equipment for use. If stored properly, the smoke tubes have a shelf life of 5 years.
Each smoke tube contains seperated chemicals that are easily combined by crushing the ampoules contained within the tube. When the chemicals within the tube are combined, Ethylenediamine acetate smoke is formed and pushed out of the tube using the aspirator bulb.
There is no TLV listed for Ethylenediamine Acetate smoke. However, other chemicals may still be present in small amounts and direct breathing of the smoke from the tubes should still be avoided.
For maximum use each tube can be closed with an included rubber stopper and reused for up to a 24 hour period. Each Nextteq airflow test kits includes an aspirator bulb, tubing, rubber stoppers, 6 smoke tubes, user’s manual, and a carrying case. Replacement smoke tubes are also available.
