alpha/beta/gamma/xray radiation detector
The Ranger is also available as the Ranger EXP, which replaces the integral detector with a pancake probe
The Radiation Alert® Ranger is a versatile and highly portable radiation detector. It is available in the standard configuration with a built in GM tube making it a small, self contained, detector. Alternatively, the Radiation Alert® Ranger EXP features a tradiational external pancake probe useful for field surveys and hard to reach areas. The standard configuration is also available with an optional wipe test plate.
Both model are sensitive to low levels of alpha, beta, gamma, and x-ray radiation. These microprocessor controlled instruments also feature built in efficiences for automatically calculating Bq and DPM. All Ranger detectors feature data logging, a USB port for PC connection, and free software.
Designed for field operation, every Ranger includes a rugged rubber boot, a large LCD display, and adjustable alarm levels. The Radiation Alert® Ranger is powered by two AA batteries that provide up to 800 hours of runtime. 1 year warranty standard and NIST calibration is available.
