Flame ionization detectors are used for fugitive emmisions monitoring, in many industrial hygiene applications, and for hazardous waste site evalution. FIDs are capable of measuring compounds that PID rental equipment cannot detect and of measuring much higher concentrations.

Well known for it’s portability, the MicroFID is one of the smallest FID detectors available. Although the instrument is compact and can be held in one hand, with a range up to 50,000 ppm and EPA method 21 compliance, features have not been sacrificed. The onboard battery and built in hydrogen tank provide more then enough runtime for an entire workday. For many projects the MicroFID is the perfect solution, and it remains one of our more popular FID rental instruments.
