Capable of low level measurements at a resolution of 1 ppb, the ppbRAE Plus is our standard PID rental for the detection of VOCs at the ppb level. When used with Rae Systems’ disposable zeroing tubes to remove background levels, this PID is capable of highly repeatable low level measurements. All of the features you would expect from a RAE Systems’ PID including datalogging, intrinsic safety, and built in response factors are standard. Although all ppbRAE Plus rentals come calibrated and ready for use, an optional calibration kit is available for performing additional calibrations while the instrument is on rent.

Faster, more accurate, and with a greater range then gas detector tubes, the UltraRAE is a compound specific PID for Benzene, Butadiene, or Halocarbons. Disposable gas seperation tubes allow selective PID measurements at a much lower cost then a portable gas chromatograph rental. Adding to its versatility, the UltraRAE can also be used as a standard PID for total VOC detection. This high end PID is rated intrinsically safe, includes datalogging, and comes calibrated for your application. Additional calibrations can be performed on site with an optional calibration kit.

The 580B OVM has been a favorite of industrial hygiene professionals for many years. Simple, rugged, and field proven, the 580B is still a commonly requested PID rental instrument. Although very easy to use, features like datalogging and a user adjustable response factor are still included. In recent years using a 580B for datalogging has been difficult due to the lack of modern PC communication software for the instrument. But for those who would still like to use the 508B as a datalogging PID (or start using it again), we have developed custom software for communicating with the 580B.

Additionally, advanced PID applications are even easier then before with up to a 3 point calibration, memory for the calibration of 8 seperate gases, and a large graphic LCD display with dataplot views. The smallest and most cost effective of our PID rentals, the ToxiRAE Plus PID manages to pack in many of the features common to handheld PIDs while still being small enough to be clipped onto your pocket. The ToxiRAE Plus PID is useful in almost any application where there is a need to monitor personel exposure to VOCs.
