Our recommended moisture meter rental, the Survey Encounter takes non destructive readings using a low frequency signal without the need for pins or probes. The Survey Encounter is a highly accurate meter that automatically compensates for temperature and density. The on board memory stores calibrations for 32 woods species, 3 wall types, 3 roofing material types, and 1 custom setting. Using the powerful PC software any of 300 additional wood species calibrations can be stored on the instrument for use in the field. Additionally, the on board datalogging allows informative reports to be prepared by storing moisture readings along with the reading number, date, time, temperature, and wood type for later transfer to a PC.

For our customers who prefer a traditional probe style moisture in wood meter rental, the 840050 is simple to use and features 9 built in wood groups that cover about 150 different species. The probe requires 2 mm of material penatration and comes on a 41″ cable. Manual temperature compensation and self calibration increase accuracy. An RS232 interface provides a PC connection or a digital output for connection to various data collection systems.
