Rae System’s ToxiRAE II personal gas monitor is a cost effective disposable personal single gas monitor for various different gases that also features replaceable sensors and batteries. Unlike other disposable personal gas monitors, the ToxiRAE II displays real time measurements and can be turned on and off allowing you to use the sensor until it is fully depleted instead of only for a predetermined amount of time. Although the cost of a ToxiRAE II is only slightly more then the sensor itself, you can replace the sensor and batteries and reuse the instrument if you prefer.

Although the ToxiRAE II’s sensors are replaceable, they are not interchangeable. The latest in the ToxiRAE line, the ToxiRAE Pro, is a fully featured personal single gas monitor, including datalogging and wireless capabilities. These gas monitors come in versions that can use over 20 different interchangeable smart gas sensors, an LEL sensor, or a PID sensor.

ToxiRAE II personal single gas monitors are available for H2S, CO, O2, Cl2, ClO2, HCN, NH3, NO, NO2, PH3, and SO2. Alarm notification is provided by an audible 90 dB buzzer, vibration, and bright red LED. High and low alarms are user adjustable, TWA and STEL alarms are also provided. Calibration and bump testing are easily performed since the monitor is operated with just one button.

Another option in disposable personal gas monitors for CO or H2S is the extrememly low cost, but not low on features, ToxiRAE 3.

The ToxiRAE II’s housing is IP55 rated, weather resistant, impact resistant, and RF resistant. All metal attachments are corrosion resistant stainless steel. Small and lightweight, the ToxiRAE II can be clipped to a shirt pocket or belt.
